Location & map

Heliotropio lies at the Pollonia or Apollonia village, named after the ancient temple of Apollo that used to stand here, at the northeast edge of Milos island at a close distance from our hotel. A quiet, fishing village, and the second port of the island, is surrounded by three chapels: Aghios Phanourios, Aghia Paraskevi, and Aghios Nikolaos. On the left side lies Pelekouda, an idyllic peninsula, where legend has it an invisible couple still sits on the chair-like rock formation of Pelekouda, a symbol of eternal devotion and love.

Pollonia - Apollonia village

On the way from Adamandas port to Pollonia, (15 km) the visitor meets the prehistoric ruins of Phylakopi, while on the way to the south, the sulfur mines or Theiorycheia are worth a visit. Pollonia is located 15 km from Milos airport. The village rests on a picturesque, bay where yachts and small boats anchor. The visitor can find small hotels and rooms, taverns, bars, a supermarket, a basketball court, and a playground.

Heliotropio Hotel almost floats on the Aegean, as it sits literally by the sea water. It is surrounded by a beautiful, Mediterranean garden, with blooming flowers and trees, shading it safely in the summer. Its roof terrace is offered for all day pleasure under the sun or the moon light. Unique, absolutely beautiful beaches, unique across the Aegean, are scattered all over Milos.
